Swedish softwood lumber exports volume to the U.S. rose 37% in the first five months of 2022 year-on-year 400 thousand m3. The value of exports jumped 50% to EUR 228 million. The average price of softwood lumber increased 9% to EUR 572 per m3.

In January – May 2022, European Union’s exports of softwood lumber to the U.S. expanded 8% year-on-year to 1.81 million m3. The value of exports increased 14% to $843 million. Average price of softwood lumber expanded 6% to EUR 466 per m3.
