This year, AHEC returned to Milan Design Week to present ‘Communion’ by Giles Tettey Nartey and ‘Pirouette’ by Parti, two extraordinary new works expertly crafted by Jan Hendzel Studio in sustainable American maple.
Before the launch of the pieces at the Triennale Milano as part of the Wallpaper* Class of ’24 exhibition, we sat down with Giles Tettey Nartey, Eleanor Hill of Parti, and Jan Hendzel of Jan Hendzel Studio to discuss the design and making of the two pieces and their experience of working with American maple.
