A Bench for East London
Designed by Andu Masebo for V&A East, three benches – one straight, two curved – bring together material and place through conversations with East London communities.
Made using underused No.1 Common red oak, the benches work with the grade’s natural characteristics to carry embedded symbols and stories gathered through walks, workshops, and shared moments across the neighbourhoods surrounding the museum.
Now installed in the entrance foyer at V&A East Museum.
